Q) The surface of our epoxy coating remains tacky. Does this originate from 1,3-BAC?
A) It depends on your formulation. Improperly formulated, tackiness (stickiness) may remain on the coating. We think that the carbamate and carbonate of 1,3-BAC generated during the curing process may be the cause. However, we have patented technology to prevent this.
